5. Add Users to Teams

You can now start adding users. Before doing so, please ensure that the users you want to add are assigned the correct license for Microsoft Teams Phone Systems.

Before you proceed with this step, please ensure that you have either purchased or ported numbers on the Atomic portal and assigned to their Account.

Navigate to Users > Manage users. Select the user you would like to add by clicking on the users name. Under the Account tab, in Assigned phone number, make sure you turn on the Enterprise Voice setting as this is required for Teams Direct Routing.

Then click on the Assign primary phone number button. If you do not see this button, the user has not been assigned with a Microsoft license that supports Team Direct Routing.

You will be presented with this window:

Phone number type - select Direct Routing from the dropdown menu

Assigned phone number - enter the phone number that you are assigning to the user. The input must be in E.164 format (eg. 61255555555)

Phone number extension - an internal extension number if required. You can leave this blank.

Do note that it may take up to 48 hours before the user may be able to make and receive any calls.
