2FA for Atomic

2 min readAdmin

As you may be aware there have been numerous data breaches of late, not only within the telecommunication industry, but across the globe. No longer is a username and password sufficient as a secure means to access your private data.

To improve our security, we have now added **two-factor authentication (2FA)** into the Atomic portal. This is now live on the portal and we encourage you to activate this feature to provide an added layer of security to your accounts. This will also be applicable to all sub-users within your account.

How to enable 2FA

To enable 2FA for your account you will need an authenticator app that manages two-factor authentication codes, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.

You can download these apps from your respective app store on your mobile device (App Store, Google Play).

Here is a quick guide on how to activate 2FA

Step 1: Log in to Atomic portal

Step 2: Go to Profile > Security> Enable Two-Factor authentication (toggle this button ON)

Step 3: Once the service is turned on, the “Scan QR Code” will appear. Please scan the QR code using the authentication app (e.g Google Authenticator)

Step 4: When you next login to the Atomic Portal you will now need to enter the verification code after your username and password.
