Slack

1 min readHosted Voice

Hosted Voice can be integrated with Slack, to make work flow easier. When a call is made or comes in, the call will be logged in Slack.

Access to the feature

In order to integrate Slack, first you have to set which accounts (or group of accounts) are allowed to use this feature. For that, in the Hosted Voice admin page, navigate to Integrations and select Slack:

  1. Select the Group that will have access to this integration. E.g. All accounts, or a group of accounts etc.
  2. Save

Now these accounts can use this feature.

Pair the account

In the of the extension, go to Settings:

  1. If the user has access to the feature, described above, you will see Slack on the left side (scroll down if you don't see it). Click on it.
  2. Then pair your account by pressing the Pair button.
  3. Slack page will ask you for your Slack account credentials and access. Give it access.
  4. After a while a check mark should confirm that your account is now paired.
  5. Calls should be logged in that account now with details of the call.
