When a call comes in to an extension, and the call is not answered or goes to Voicemail, the system is capable to send to the user of the extension an email informing them of a missed call.
This is turned on by default. To toggle this setting, navigate to Setup > Extensions and click on Edit for the corresponding user. Toggle the Answerpoint setting to turn it on or off.
Missed Call Notifications is also available on Hunt Group’s as well. This is a neat little feature where if you have departments setup and if an incoming call that comes in is not answered, a notification can be sent to the supervisor or manager.
You can activate Missed Call Notifications for Hunt Groups in the Hunt Group settings by entering an email in the ‘Missed Call Notification’ field.
