There is a big difference on how the system handles calls between Call Forwarding and Answerpoint.
When Call Forwarding is used, the system forwards a call to the designated forwarding number and no longer keeps track of the call. This means that missed call notifications and call recording will not be retained as the call has been forwarded and passed on to the call forwarding numbers network.
When Answerpoint is used, the system maintains the connectivity of the call, which means missed call notifications, call recording and cdrs will work and appear accordingly.
